Superbills (Coming Soon, August 2026)

Do you have acupuncture covered by insurance?

For patients who would like their insurance to pay for acupuncture, I can offer superbills upon request. Willowroot Acupuncture does not currently bill insurance. The superbills I provide give you the treatment and diagnosis codes you need to get reimbursed by your insurance company if they cover acupuncture by an out-of-network provider.

I cannot guarantee reimbursement, just as I could not be guaranteed payment if I billed your insurance myself. If you need insurance reimbursement to afford acupuncture, I recommend calling your insurance company to ask about the process of submitting a superbill for reimbursement, and your specific coverage of acupuncture, before you come in for your first visit.

Cancellation Policy

Things happen and sometimes appointments need to be cancelled or rescheduled. Please provide more than 48 hours before your appointment time for cancellations. When you forget, cancel, or change your appointment with less than 48 hours notice I am generally unable to fill the appointment time.

  • If an appointment is cancelled with fewer than 48 hours notice, 50% of the appointment cost will be billed to the credit card on file regardless of the reason.

  • No call/no show appointments will be billed 100% of the cost of the appointment.

  • If I am able to fill your appointment time, your late cancellation fee will not be charged.

Habitual late cancellations or no-shows may result in client discharge at the practitioner’s discretion.

If you have a situation that prevents you from adhering to this cancellation policy, please discuss this with your practitioner to determine if Willowroot Acupuncture is a good fit.
